Description of Phat Linux

Considering all the pros and cons of Linux, you may not want to go through the involved process of installing a whole new operating system; you run the risk of losing your data when you partition or resize the partitions on your hard drive to make space for Linux. As an alternative, you can install this Mandrake-distribution-based version while running Windows, eliminating the risk of losing valuable information during the installation process. It comes bundled with many popular packages, including XFree86 3.3.6, KDE 2.0, Gnome, Enlightenment, the Apache Web Server, a DOS emulator, sound programs, image editors, popular libraries, and an anonymous FTP server. Be forewarned that, at 243MB, this is no small download.
