Description of Norton Zip Rescue
When disaster strikes and your system won't boot, you may need more tools than what will fit on a floppy. If you have an EIDE Zip drive, you can replace that stack of disks with one Zip that will get your system up and running. With Norton Zip Rescue you can find and fix common problems such as Windows Registry corruption, partition table damage, virus contamination, missing or damaged system files, or boot record damage. Your custom Zip Rescue Disk is unique to your system; it contains a condensed version of Windows, the Norton Zip Rescue software, and a record of your desktop settings. (Your desktop settings indicate how your icons and toolbars are organized, as well as other things such as your background and screen saver.) So if Windows stops working and you need to recover, you can get your Windows back instead of reverting to the original Windows defaults.
