Description of Guidescope v0.994

This application and service provides tools to protect your privacy and speed your browsing. It blocks cookies, keeping companies from tracking your surfing habits. The program gives you some control too, allowing you to designate safe sites to which you give permission to send cookies.

You can also use this program to block ads and keep a record of ads you have blocked. Whenever you go to a new page, Guidescope sends your computer a list of ads known to be on that page, and causes your computer to skip over the ads in the list (as with cookies, you can override this). You can also block ads from "ad servers." If a new ad slips through the program's filters, you can manually block it. The program submits the ad to Guidescope's central database, to block it for other Guidescope users.
