Description of Windows Media Player Patch 47357
This patch fixes a few bugs related to Windows Media Player. One causes a buffer overrun in Active Stream Redirector (.ASX) files and another affects the way Windows Media Player handles Internet shortcuts. In addition, this patch fixes a privacy vulnerability that can potentially run an attacker's code.
Windows Media 6.4 users should install this patch (file wmsu47357.exe). Windows Media Player 7 users should upgrade to version 7.1 (file mp71.exe), which you can download by clicking here.
