Description of Krento

Krento is a modern application manager and widget engine for Microsoft Windows. Krento can save your desktop space and assist you in boosting your productivity. With Krento you can launch your programs or open web pages from a circular 3D set of rolling "stones" (widgets). You can save and load your sets, having more than one application set available. Drag and drop your files, folders, and shortcuts onto one of the Krento "stones". The "stone" can be a shortcut or even a mini-application (widget).   Duration of ownership: 1 Years

  Strengths: Very customizable and easy easy to use. I like that it appears only when I needed it, hiding when not in use and no CPU usage in idle state

  Weaknesses: The number of Widgets is still limited and I hope it will be increased in the next release.

  Overall Evaluation: I used it with Windows Vista and Windows 7 with no compatibility problems. I like the possibility to run Krento from the flash drive without any setup in the portable mode. Not every application can do that.

  Strengths:

  Weaknesses: I agree with the other reveiw on Krento. My computer won't shut down , everytime it reads "ERROR" and "PROGRAM WILL NOT RESPOND." Now it won't completely UNINSTALL. It comes on every boot up. Very annoying to think this was recommended by PC World. We're brand new to PC World so we'll try contacting them for help.

  Duration of ownership: 1 Days

  Strengths: Never got a chance to find out. As soon as I started it, it cleaned every icon off my desktop and I had no functions left other than to shut down. Real JUNK!!

  Weaknesses: It took over my desktop and wiped out all of my other icons. Had to try and uninstall and reboot the system just to recover.

  Overall Evaluation: It offers nothing in the way of help files and it seems to conflict with the XP desktop. For what it actually provides and the issues it creates, it is not even worth downloading. Who needs these kinds of issues, free or not!!
