Description of Twister v3.5.1
You know the music you want is on the web, but you're less than thrilled about becoming infected with the bugs that riddle p2p networks. Twister uses web servers, not a peer-to-peer network, as the source for its music files. Because of this, you'll enjoy faster downloads and suffer fewer broken downloads. Unlike p2p programs, Twister does not give out your IP address, so your downloads are more secure.
Although Twister is free, you do pay a price in the third party components (also called "spyware") that accompany the program. If you do want to try out the program, PC World recommends that you only install it on a backup computer that has Ad-aware and full virus protection.
