  Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

  Strengths: Not one I could call real strength.

  Weaknesses: Uses up many resources, abuses CPU power, my new high-performance laptop heats up, fan works like mad, which is unacceptable as it shortens the hardware life. Sometimes freezes, finds false positives and overrides vital Windows settings without being asked to do it. It has many bad bugs. Its own backup/recovery only works for files and folders but fails to cure the registry and system settings.

  Overall Evaluation: It was not designed for average users but for computer geeks who enjoy bothering their system without reason, only for fun. It was designed to attractively perform multiple tasks at the detriment of quality. For reliable quality and safe work it is better to install three or four smaller and lighter software products, which are developed to perform only one or two operations in advanced and thorough manner. Then why Macecreaft creates this awkward behemoth? It is only business, because most of the above mentioned great software products are freeware. BE CAREFUL!!!! During installation and initialization, this program modifies your Windows settings, which will not be automatically restored when you uninstall it. It might create problems later.

  Duration of ownership: 3 Months

  Strengths: Strenghts are small size and beautiful, easy to understand interface. Okay that, and the fact that it does what it says it will do.

  Weaknesses: Weaknesses is the price. I wish it was freeware though the fee is minimal.

  Overall Evaluation: I love this program and will NEVER EVER use anything else! That's why I registered it anyway.

  Strengths: Easy to use and has never caused a system failure

  Weaknesses: Perhaps not as fast as some others, but certainly fast enough.

  Overall Evaluation: Here is the main reason that I have taken the time to write this non-review: I have been using some version of jv16 Power Tools for about 5 years. During that time and previously, I have tried several other registry cleaners. Each of the others has, at some point in time, messed up my system. So far as I can tell, jv16 Power Tools does a comparable job of cleaning the registry and the many other tasks that it can accomplish. Never once in all those years on at least 10 different systems and a succession of Windows operating systems has it cause me a problem.
