Duration of ownership: 0 Months
Strengths: Free scan and clean found viruses and worms in reputable downloads, originating in.ru. Also detects tracking cookies like ad-aware and IObit.
Weaknesses: Free version seizes control of PC, starts with VISTA, searches for updates 3 min. and keeps splash screen on despite efforts not to automatically startup. Cannot be suppressed down to on-demnand-only within program. Startup control in AnVir required to subdue. Actual scanning takes forever.
Overall Evaluation: THIS is a Microsoft GOLD Partner? Use at own risk if you have no value on your time. Send to disliked gamers if you want to drive them whacky. May have value for some, not quite malware but coming close.

Duration of ownership: 1 Days
Strengths: Easy to use interface
Weaknesses: Destroyed the registry
Overall Evaluation: I've been an IT consultant for over 17 years. The registry "optimizer" destroyed my registry to an unbootable state. Unable to restore to ANY previous point. Registry corruption included irreversible loss of any Sytem Restore, including restore point initiated by Advanced System Optimizer upon installation. This would have been an absolute nightmare for a novice or even average pc user. Unnacceptable!!!!
