Strengths: Copy and paste with plain text. It is a simple concept and a GREAT program. You can configure any hot key. Since Ctrl-x,c, and v are already used for copy and past, I recommed Ctrl-z or Ctrl-t.

Weaknesses: You need to put a shortcut in Startup so it will always be available.

Overall Evaluation: I love this program. I copy and paste from web sites to Excel all the time, and this program makes it so much faster than using "Paste Special, Values". It also works great with E-mail.

Strengths: I haven't used this program enough to respond but it seems to work as designed.

Weaknesses: Installation was very confusing. Clicking on the ZIP file resulted in an extracted file named puretext.exe but double clikcing this file produced an error, "Windows cannot complete the extraction. The destination file could not be located". Like a previous reviewer noticed, a dark "PT" icon could be seen in the Taskbar Tray meaning that the program was installed anyway. Normally, after an installaton file is unzipped, the extracted .exe file is selected to perform the actual installaton. PureText seems to install automatically after the extracton. I'm using a computer with a VISTA OS.

Overall Evaluation: I need more time to use the program for further comments but it seems to do the job itended.

Strengths: PureText works as advertised, removing all formatting from text.

Weaknesses: I haven't found any except that I had problems using the default hotkey and have had better luck with CtrlTab.

Overall Evaluation: PureText is a simple program that does what its author claims it will do. I rely on it at work to paste from webpages into my word processor without dragging coding that messes up my formatting. I have also shared it with many of my colleagues at work, all of whom appreciate it as much as I do. Kudos to Mr. Miller for creating this much-needed program!

Strengths: Appears to do what it says it will.

Weaknesses: Failed to provide any indication that it had loaded. Only when I Googled "PureText" did I notice the "PT" located in the quick-launch bar (lower left corner of the screen). Their homepage gives helpful info on how to use it.

Overall Evaluation: My wife composes e-mail messages in Word which I then edit for her and paste into Outlook Express. But sometimes the formating fouls up the message so this ap is perfect for me.
