Duration of ownership: 1 Days
Strengths: Free, easy to use.
Weaknesses: It froze everytime at 29% so I was not able to fully restore the entire folder.
Overall Evaluation: No one else seems to have this problem luckily. But it was disappointing.

Strengths: Performed as advertised
Weaknesses: did not find any in the one time I used it
Overall Evaluation: Mind you, I only used it once to recover only 1 file but it was from a flash drive and thought it was gone forever. This program was easy to use and found the file without a hitch. I would recommend this to others.

Strengths: This program did exactly what it said it would - I had deleted some .wav files by accident, and it found every one of them and restored them perfectly. Very much appreciated. It's compact, fast, and free. What more could you ask for?
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: Great product. Would recommend to anyone.

Strengths: No install. runs from usb drive. quick.
Weaknesses: Tested it by deleting a random picture from the recycle bin and then immediately trying to find it with this program to no avail.
Overall Evaluation: I then did a search for all deleted files and it turned up a good list but nothing I really needed. I will have to try this program when I am asked to do a recovery project for someone. I also just noticed that Vista is not included in the supported OS list. That might be why it didnt work exactly like i wanted but I would think a program that doesnt have to be installed would not have any problems with different Windows OSs.

Duration of ownership: 5 Years
Strengths: The program is small, self-contained, and efficient - plus it's free!
Weaknesses: for free . . . none.
Overall Evaluation: I've been using this freeware gem since late 2002. It's great for finding lost programs and allowing you to copy them to other sources. It's also good at wiping "unused" file space (click OTHERS, DELETE COMPLETELY). Again, for free, this little proggy has weak competition.

Duration of ownership: 1 Days
Strengths: It appears to function as claimed
Weaknesses: Needs to be a completed program
Overall Evaluation: This is a good concept, the only problem is; once it shows you what has been erased, all you can do is copy it to another place. There is not {as I can find} any program you can use to open and /or view what you find. Nor can you delete anything as claimed. Keep working on it, send an update when it works completely.

Weaknesses: Can't figure out how to delete what it found.
Overall Evaluation: Went straight into the trash can when I figured out it didn't delete deleted files.

Overall Evaluation: Unless I'm missing something , it's terrible. Now it's got me thinking , How can I permanently erase files that have been deleted.I have Win XP.I know those files are there somewhere, and that has always begged me.So how do I do it?

Strengths: very good at finding files and restoring them
Weaknesses: would be great if you could delete them or at least open them to see if you want to restore them or drag and drop to a temp file first
Overall Evaluation: fast and does what it says but can use some more developing
