    Duration of ownership: 1 Months

    Strengths: Readily available

Weaknesses: NO SUPPORT. Was never able to complete a call with a Skype phone. A PC based call was worse in quality that MSN or Yahoo. Two tin cans and a string has better quality.

Overall Evaluation: The company provided a phone number for my account that was already in use by a Verizon residential customer, then were unable to correct it and would only require me to purchase yet another number. They would only reply every other day and then only to request information totally irrelevant to the problem.

    Duration of ownership: 6 Months

Strengths: Excellent tutoring programs available for it.

Weaknesses: Horrobly complicated to use, it added flase security, and put a virus/trojan on my computer

Overall Evaluation: IT continues to try and put viruses on my computer, and I have to halt internet traffik to make it stop.

    Duration of ownership: 18 Months

Strengths: Lots of people have it

Weaknesses: Unnecessary restrictions, unreliable audio and video interface, generates large numbers of page faults, NON-EXISTANT SUPPORT

Overall Evaluation: The new Skype 3.6 release includes "High Quality Video" - but only for users with one of three "anointed" (and expensive) Logitech webcams, and at least a Dual Core CPU (not even Dual Processor systems will work). It was proven during the public beta test phase that other systems and cameras could produces HQV, so why was this general ability removed, and HQV restricted only to "blessed" systems? Also, Skype produces anywhere from 700 to 10,000 Page Faults PER SECOND, even when it is idle. Last but not least, Skype Support is NON-EXISTANT. It takes a minimum of four days to get any response at all, and then the responses are always irrelevant or inane. Very, Very disappointing.
