Strengths: Graphics, a helluva fun game to play.
Weaknesses: Age and probably the disappointment from Quake 4.
Overall Evaluation: Still a **** good FPS and one could play online or in single-player mode.

Strengths: An endless supply of mods that are still popping up to this day, excellent graphics even today, just a great game all around.
Weaknesses: It's age and reputation thanks to previous versions, and even some newer versions.
Overall Evaluation: 5+ years later still a great multi FPS for everyone.

Duration of ownership: 7 Years
Strengths: Decent graphics, smooth multi-play, modable, multiple games (capture the flat, etc...).
Weaknesses: Getting dated but still fun to play.
Overall Evaluation: Quake III is a true classic. While its graphics have become dated they still aren't bad especially for a FPS where your attention is on who you will frag next. While I may be a CS:S addict, Quake III is still on my hard drive and will remain there for the foreseeable future. It's easy to setup and jump right in and play. It is also very good for LAN play as well. On todayâs systems there is no problem playing on the server. If you are an FPS fan and you donât already own Quake III, download it now. You wonât be disappointed.
