Strengths: Powerful features, elegant intuitive interface, strong professional publishing tools.
Weaknesses: Not as well known as Adobe, Quark etc.
Overall Evaluation: This program is as capable as InDesign, but is really much, much more intuitive to use. It's actually fun; enables you to play around with things and be more creative. Excellent for publishing professional stuff as long as the printer isn't one of the ridiculous types insisting on InDesign files. Produces first rate pre-press PDFs too.

Strengths: I used previous versions of PagePlus and found that this free edition does most of what I needed the program to do.
Weaknesses: Several of the functions are greyed out. Mostly they are the items that permit this program to act like WebPlus. They have a free version of WebPlus as well for easily designing small Websites.
Overall Evaluation: Serif builds very good software that does what the $600+ programs do but in a simpler fashion. Once you use their intuitive software you will want to use more. WebPlus and PagePlus are very similar and you could probably use either one for both tasks. Pageplus is easier to use for printed products but the full version should be able to work for both needs.
