Strengths: It is a Windows Explorer replacement, with almost every imaginable service and feature..Version 10 is much improved. Prior versions hid the useful features is a proprietary language ("Lister") and complex sub-menus. Now really useful things are right at hand. Extremely versatile and customizable. Opens new folders where you need them. Has the fastest file moving routine I have ever seen.
Weaknesses: Not fully stable. On my computer DO crashes on every search. Expensive. Support is blithely sent to support groups.
Overall Evaluation: The best Explorer replacement out there. Download the trial version first to make sure it is stable on your computer.

Strengths: Powerful file management, extemely customizable, strong, helpful user community
Weaknesses: Advanced features require a learning curve, but are unnecessary for all but the most sophisticated users to learn
Overall Evaluation: Fabulous product I could not do without. Saves tremendous time and eliminates the need for multiple other utilities such as file viewers, image file converters, renamers, ftp, zip, etc. Amazing value for the money.

Strengths: Great versatility with everything you could want in a file explorer. It even shows raw camera files. Far better than any other program of it's kind. DOpus' configurable tabs & large image previewing are some of it's best features.
Weaknesses: It is laborious setting the preferences to get the most out of the program. But it's worth it. Be sure to save your profile whenever you make a change so you only do the prefs once.
Overall Evaluation: The best file explorer on the market & well worth the cost. I used powerdesk for > years & tried many other, but it wasn't nearly as good as DOpus.

Strengths: Any operation that involves copying, deleting, moving, and viewing files (i.e. file maintenance, manipulation, synchronization, organization, etc.).
Weaknesses: None that I've found.
Overall Evaluation: I'm an administrator on a mixed Windows Active Directory and Novell Netware network. I've used DirOpus for over 3 years now to perform daily file maintenance tasks between the multiple servers and workstations on my LAN and WAN. DirOpus is extremely powerful and very stable. There are dozens of customization settings so you can fine-tune its behavior to your specific needs. Its not cheap but if your job requires a professional grade application to maintain files this is the best.
