Strengths: Simple to use but with enough options to satisfy the average user.
Weaknesses: in my experiences poor quality output.
Overall Evaluation: I read many reviews putting avs4you high on top 10 lists of video converters so I took the plunge. I have to say Iâm very unimpressed. Compared to WinAVI 7 that is a number of years old now, avs4you is both slower and has worse quality. I am generally converting Xvid Aviâs to Mpeg2/Ac3 VOB for burning onto DVD. After conversion using avs4you any time there is a major visual change in a scene the picture goes blocky or pixilated for a second or two. Iâve noticed this with Any Video Converter too. WinAVI 7 (years old) and DVDstyler (free) both convert the Xvid AVI to VOB perfectly without any rendering issues. I cannot comment on other formats or codecs.
