    Duration of ownership: 9 Years

Strengths: has all the elements anyone would need to manage, generate, and safely store passwords and form data.

Weaknesses: new fees make the product more costly.

Overall Evaluation: Excellent password manager. I am not a fan of the new optional Everywhere syncing to the cloud, nor of the annual fee that apparently must be paid now. However, there are some inaccuracies in the reviews below...Everywhere is an optional product, and if you stop using it, your password info is still kept locally and is accessible. The bottom line is that the product is nearly flawless in finding and completing form fields and logins...

Strengths: If you are willing to have RoboForm keep all your passwords on their hardware where someone could hack them then go for it.

Weaknesses: I have paid for two licenses for two pc's that I purchase at different times and then I bought their Everywhere/latest version and it wiped out all my saved info. And now the old versions will not work with Firefox 4 and who knows what other browsers, forcing you to buy the new version. I have stopped using Roboform after over 15 years of use. My original paid licenses WERE suppose to be LIFETIME, but they are no longer supported for the new browser.

Overall Evaluation: Do NOT Buy, unless you are willing to pay a yearly fee for something that will destroy all your previous passwords - Even my sister that used to use the Paid version of RoboForm2Go can not continue to use it either. They are forcing everyone to buy a new license and making it a yearly paid subscription. Here is the exact words from the RoboForm License Agreement that you must agree to, "RoboForm Everywhere Pro is defined as RoboForm Everywhere for which Customer pays an Annual Subscription fee..." Again, Do not use this. It is a Rip Off. I am now using "Keepass Password Safe 2" which is Free and works just fine. I do recommend that you continue to save an Encrypted (such as EncryptOnClick- free) detailed typed list of all Login and Password info in a file saved on your pc, a flash drive and a free online service, such as ADrive.com (free 50GB) as backups.

    Strengths: Easy to use

Weaknesses: No, repeat no 64 bit support

Overall Evaluation: I've had 3 licenses for several years, but they are now useless, because of no 64 bit. Thir response is "we may migrate someday" or words to that effect. You have to be running IE in a 32 bit mode, but when you Download IE9, it defaults to 64 bit if your computer is 64 bit, and yes it downloads 32 bit also, but no way to tell IE9 to run in the 32 bit mode. I have switched to Kaspersky Password Manager, wich does work.

Strengths: Can fill in forms and passwords.

Weaknesses: Does not fill in all forms. Gets occasionally fooled. Anyone can see your accounts that you have passwords to.

Overall Evaluation: Still usefull, mostly for form filling but not the only one out there anymore. As others I am very dissapointed that they broke their promise on free lifetime upgrades. It was the way for them to lure us in when they were first starting out, but now that they are established they're dumping us. Not a very promising ethics record for a company that wants to store logins and passwords to my bank accounts on their servers. Can they be trusted? Based on their track record?

    Strengths: Security

    Weaknesses: Privacy

Overall Evaluation: Although it appears to work well, there is a fundamental design weakness that makes we wish I hadn't bought it. This is that it has not been designed with any degree of privacy. And privacy is the first layer of security: if you leave your car unattended you don't leave valaubles on show no matter how good your car alarm! When you are logged out of your Roboform profile, the user interface is still visible. This means that anyone else using your PC can see which websites you are registered at, although they can't actually use your passwords (trying to use them prompts for the password). Also, Roboform stores its data in individual encrypted files (one for each website), and these are visible (but not usable) in Windows Explorer. The only workaround it to make the names less obvious: eg. call your entry for ebay something like "xgygz" - but then you won't know what it is even when you're logged in! As far as I can see it works well, but if you want privacy as well as security, this is not a good product.

Strengths: It was my favorite program of any kind for years.

Weaknesses: It only fills some forms now, fewer everyday - they admit this. It was too expensive when it worked and can only be used on one of your computers. The tool bar stuff has not worked in years AND they blame Microsoft for this so don't expect any fixes.

Overall Evaluation: Not worth it anymore. I still use it but I already paid for it. I'll be abandoning it soon.

Strengths: works quite well but is a little more cumbersome than Norton Password--BUT-it works with Vista and Norton Password does not.

Weaknesses: Big problem here. It isn't realy free.

Overall Evaluation: I used it for a month and spent alot of time transferring all my passwords into this program. Then all of a sudden it asks for payment to upgrade to Pro version if I want to use more than 10 passwords. This is a classic bait and switch and the company should be investigated for this behavior. Even though I like the program I'm going to look for another more honest software vendor.

Strengths: ?????/ This trial program looks like a Scam so has no Strengths.

Weaknesses: This is only a trial program and lets you use only a few things it can do. There is different $$ amounts for full program. The web site Siber System is dishonest from the start.

Overall Evaluation: If you check on the total price of full system it has different prices. Looks like a Scam to me.

Strengths: Extremely handy in saving time typing in all of your basic info and TEN passwords, etc....as long as (read on below)

Weaknesses: SIBER SYSTEMS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES! This great little program will suddenly start to warn you about having more than 10 passwords saved and a little while later will just stop working entering your passwords altogether...that is, until you either reduce to 10 saved passwords or buy their Pro version (which is priced differently on different pages of their own site). They don't tell you this on their website and are obviously attempting to get you hooked and forcing you to buy something that is not now as good as it once was. Siber Systems doesn't tell you there are certain limitations to RoboForm.

Overall Evaluation: I am 54 years old. I appreciate good things when they come along. This is one of those I'll-remember-you-guys things. If all you ever expect to save is 10 passwords (HA!) then go ahead and download RoboForm. If you want to store more then maybe you should look at some other company. Siber Systems just doesn't get it. You don't earn customers by "baiting and switching" products. What you earn is a reputation that has a strange aroma about it.

Strengths: In addition to auto-fill, it lets you view and edit the password, create a random password, and use multiple IDs on a website.

Weaknesses: I have found none so far!

Overall Evaluation: I used to use Gator years ago. I then changed to Norton Password Manager and used that for a couple of years. Then I loaded the trial version of Roboform. I liked it enough to pay the $29.95 for a full license. My gosh, I'm still discovering functions build into this program, including the ability to print out the list of your identities and passwords. I frequently switch between two computers, and the USB version may have been the way to go, but I bought a second license for my second computer. I have absolutely no regrets and would do it again. This is absolutely the best password and autofill program I have ever used.

Strengths: Very user friendly works in all browsers with a patch. Saves me a ton of time logging into password protected sites.

Weaknesses: This is a Trial Version.... they don't tell you that anywhere when you download it.

Overall Evaluation: Beware once you hit 10 addresses they say that you need to now purchase the product or it just won't work anymore. Also if you click on the buy now button that pops up they will try to charge you $39.95. They sell the same license on their website for $19.95 on another page. I think this company is wrong in trying to double charge you and they don't even tell you that it is a trial version from the beginning. False advertising anyone. It makes me want to go get another similar program even though I really like using this one.
