Strengths: Boom, Baby! Simple download, Installation, and use. Performed flawlessly the first time that I tried to use it. Simple and easy to use.
Weaknesses:
Overall Evaluation: I'm not sure what else a utility like this should be able to do, but ISO Recorder worked perfectly for my needs. I had downloaded Windows 7 (to upgrade from Vista) and it was in an "iso" format (whatever that is). The installation instructions for Windows 7 said that I needed ISO burning software to make a disc to install my new OS from. I came to PC World, found this program, and created my installation disc without any problems at all. It worked great for me, Mr. Strohmeyer!

Duration of ownership: 2 Years
Strengths: Free, streamlined interface for burning CDs in Windows XP or Vista
Weaknesses: Limited customization options
Overall Evaluation: In response to those who are having trouble with the uninstaller, I just redownloaded the software and installed it on a new Vista machine here and cannot replicate the problem you guys are reporting. The app burns discs as advertized, shows up in my Programs and Features Control Panel just fine, and uninstalls as expected. If you're having trouble and would like to talk with me about it, please e-mail me directly at robert underscore strohmeyer at pcworld dot com. I take my product recommendations seriously, and I'm happy to help out any PC World reader who's having trouble with a product I recommend.

Strengths: The software comes up right away when I right click on the ISO file.
Weaknesses: Software Is unable to see my Plextor 708A burner so therefore I am unable to use it. I know that the burner works properly with Nero.

Duration of ownership: 30 Months
Strengths: Simple to use - just about foolproof.
Weaknesses: Sometimes the right-click links disappear and you have to re-install the program to get them back. Don't know if it's caused when I update Nero, or anti-spyware, or anti-virus, whatever. Just run the install again, and everything comes back.
Overall Evaluation: Nothing fancy, it just works great. No jazzy GUI, no complication, it just works.
