Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks
Strengths: Recovers individial deleted files. If you have a small number of important files to retrieve, it will likely do so with no problems. Easy to use interface.
Weaknesses: Impossible to select entire folders and subfolders. If you've accidentally deleted a folder tree with lots of subfolders, you'll have to go into each one and select the files in each folder. It simply wont allow you to do it any other way. You can imagine the time it take to select files within dozens of subfolders for accidentally deleted directory trees. Also, the software key is for a ONE-TIME-INSTALLATION!! If you ever UNinstall the application, the activation code you paid $30 for will NOT WORK during a reinstalltion, EVER. They negelect to mention this. So dont expect that you'll have a useful bit of software for use potentially in the future, as once UNinstalled, it's a done deal unless you fork over another $30!
Overall Evaluation: Poor. Avoid unless extreme circumstances dictate $30 is worth it for software you'll never be able to reinstall.

Strengths: easy interface
Weaknesses: It's actually a $30 product. I expected more from PC World. It will scan your system for deleted files for free but won't recover them unless you register--which costs $30.
Overall Evaluation: poor
