Duration of ownership: 3 Weeks
Strengths: Best overall design and user interface, speed, compatiblilty with most web sites.
Weaknesses: A few,(key word few) web sites I've visited just don't render properly.
Overall Evaluation: Tried Fire Fox.....nothing special. Tried The first version of Safari and quit quickly. Tried Google Chrome and really liked the new interface but still had to use IE for a number of sites like my on line banking that just wouldn't render properly with Chrome plus I found the limited ability to edit the home page along with the "most visited sites" very annoying. I really, really like Safari and use it almost exclusively. My on line banking.... no problem, along with several other key sites that I use for personal finances. The ability to edit and totaly control what shows on the wall of most visited sites is realy nice and it seems to be much faster than IE overall. Just a great browser design. I do not use a lot of "plug in's" and I use outlook express for my email so I can't comment on what some other's have found fault with. But, I'm using about a 4 year old Dell (was top of the line when first purchased but nothing that special now)and have had zero issues running Safari and it has never once crashed or locked up. I rate this "very good" instead of "superior" only due to the very few sites that it will not render correctly.

Strengths: lots of goodies
Weaknesses: does not work with hotmail, seems much slower than the previous version
Overall Evaluation: The previous version worked great with my XP. I downloaded version 4 and it no longer will allow me to open my hotmail messages. It is also working much slower than the previous version. The best browser I have tried so far is Google Chrome. It has plenty of features, is very fast and easy. I will keep trying to get Safari working, maybe the next version

Weaknesses: could never get the browser to display the printed word, it will show graphics. contacted apple and after jumping thru the required hoops to change fonts and such it still didnt work.
Overall Evaluation: its not fair for me to compare this browser to any other because it never worked. I am grateful that I still have firefox as my principle browser.

Strengths: Unable to give my opinions as I never could install it.
Weaknesses: Tried to install it 3 times, and it not only wouldn't install completely but froze up my computer.
Overall Evaluation: I am certain it is a good product but will I really know if I am unable to check it out?

Strengths: Fast. Attractive interface.
Weaknesses: Exclusive. Does not recognize third-party software. Will not let you install third-party toolbars (e.g., Roboform).
Overall Evaluation: I wish I could give Safari a great review. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the hype. Yes, speed and apprearance are important. But if a browser isn't convenient to use, you may as well pack it in. And any browser that doesn't recognize third-party software is definitely inconvenient to use!

Strengths: Easy to use, loads Utube videos faster, seems faster overall.
Weaknesses: Has a problem loading Pay Pal final pay page. Can't read my mail, puts up page, but does'nt show mail.
Overall Evaluation: I've been looking to replace IE for some time now, tried a couple other browsers, did'nt like them. Having seen & used Safari on my sister Mac,I was glad to give this a try. Glad I did,it's easier to use,and has more,as well as better features & options. I'll be using as my main browser, from here on. If you want something better than IE I highly recommend this.

Strengths: Great for Mac lovers who can't afford an Apple.
Weaknesses: Crashes randomly without warning. Lots of holes in the programming.
Overall Evaluation: Just pass it up, just another failed attempt for Apple to transform PC users.
