Strengths: To HughJorgan: PhraseExpress is free-of-charge for personal use only. You can find detailed information at http://www.phraseexpress.com/freeware.htm The commercial use detection mechanism has been improved in the latest version and should not trigger any false alarm anymore. If you believe that you have been suspected inappropriately, you are welcome to contact us for manual verification. Our apologies for the trouble you may have experienced.
Weaknesses: Earlier version before v6 sometimes accidentally triggered the commercial use detection. This issue has been resolved. PhraseExpress is free-of-charge for personal use. Period.
Overall Evaluation: See http://demo.phraseexpress.com to learn more about the product features.

Strengths: Good autotext product, nice hotkeys
Weaknesses: This is not true freeware. They will post frequent and very annoying dialog boxes exhorting you to buy a $50 license.
Overall Evaluation: At some point, for some reason, PhraseExpress decided that I'm using it for business purposes (on my home laptop!). Ever since, it has been putting up dialog boxes on nearly every autotext replacement exhorting me to buy a license for $50. Be forewarned: PhraseExpress is _not_ free, and once you've gotten into using the product, they will remind you of that fact repeatedly.
