Strengths: Excellent user interface. Loaded with features. Plays almost anything. Easy to install. Beautiful picture quality.
Weaknesses: Won't play MOV files.
Overall Evaluation: This is the best movie player I've found and I've tried a bunch of them. It's the Swiss Army Knife of media players. So far I've found virtually nothing It can't do except play MOV files. I was so impressed with it that after downloading and installing I spent the rest of the evening "road testing" it. If you're looking a great alternative to Windows Media Player this is it.

Overall Evaluation: Works better than Nero and WMP! Fast startup, Am now making it my default player.

Strengths: Did exactly what it said it would do. Additionally, when I choose the full page display, the appearance is much better than other programs I have used.
Weaknesses: None that I have found at this time.
Overall Evaluation: I am very impressed. I have some videos that play poorly/choppy in other programs but played very smooth using AlShow. Considering this is a Beta, I extend a well done! As a note to other reviewers, constructive criticism goes a long way.

Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Overall Evaluation: The very first file I treid to play would not play.(M4V file from CNET TV). For a program that boasts that it will play any video format, I'm not impressed. And it couldn't even search for the codec as claimed: It asked me to upload a part of the file so it could be analyzed. Never been asked to do that before !!
