Strengths: Does everything it's supposed to do

    Weaknesses: none

Overall Evaluation: This is probably one of the best apps ever, It is very much like CCleaner, but better. It cleans registry, temp files, cookies, internet history, etc. It also offers a truckload of tools like file encrypter and decrypter, recovery of deleted files, fully deleting a file so it's non-recoverable, process manager, and more. this is one of the best apps ever

Weaknesses: Although I uncheck ASK Search when I download, ASK is still installed. I don't like ASK so I have to uninstall it.

Overall Evaluation: This product is worth a try.

Strengths: It Safely removed registry garbage and increased smooth operations.Very light program does a superior job of cleaning the registry and speeding up operating system. Fixed a number of "glitches" that had been a major headache for some time.

Weaknesses: None. Worked fine on a 2year old 3gh intel processor w/3gig ram. Windows XP OS .

Overall Evaluation: I can't figure out why all the negative response. This utility should have a better user rating that three stars...unless there is an abundance of "computer illiterate users." One of the best Free proghrams I've used.

Strengths: This is really one terrific Utilities program in my opinion. After using Norton SystemWorks Suites(w/ Norton Ghost) from 2002-to-2007, and, presently, being somewhat dismayed by the way that Symantec has "split-up" its previous formats of NSW's comprehensive features with their new 2009 offerings, I decided to see what might be available to fill this sizable void. GLARY UTILITES turned out to be the most suitable alternative for me.

Weaknesses: Weaknesses? All I can say is it continues to perform as "advertised"!

Overall Evaluation: With an excellent variety of Utility features and FAST execution times, I really wish I would have installed this program some time ago!

Overall Evaluation: so far, 10 of 10. I'm very leery of messing with the registry. But this worked fine. Close all applications, including all system tray apps. Look at all scanned objects before deleting. I have tried all apps. after the cleaning and all work OK.

Weaknesses: Be careful of what you are deleting. I trusted the program to choose for me. So far I've had no problems but am concerned because of other comments

Overall Evaluation: Very good program. I have bought cleanup tools that were slow and aggravating from the beginning. I like the way this one runs.

    Strengths: Works efficiently.

Weaknesses: UPDATE to my 10-21-2008 Initial Review. I blamed Glary Utilities for deleting an executable file (snippingtool.exe); however, I was wrong. Just prior to loading this utility, I turned off "TabletPC Optional Components" in an attempt to boost Vista performance. I've discovered that this change was the most likely cause of the executable's loss. Hence, when I ran Glary Utilities, it correctly found the shortcut to Snipping Tool was orphaned.

Overall Evaluation: Since my low rating was based on my mistaken belief that Glary was the cause, I've reconsidered (and improved) my evaluation.

Strengths: Its free and it works!

Weaknesses: I would like to be able to schedule it even though its free but it only allows you to do that if you buy the software. Why buy if you can get it for free, there are not too many good things free in this world.

Overall Evaluation: Love it! Its fast and does a real good job. I paid before for a software and I'm having problems with it but NOT this one. I recommend Glary to all my contacts.

Weaknesses: Be Careful to NOT agree to installing the ASK toolbar!

Overall Evaluation: Very Good! BUT SEE ABOVE! I disagree with the users you claim that it 'FORCES' you to install ASK. You have a chance to 'de-select' it at the end of the installation.

Strengths: Nice collection of utilities in one package. Works well for on a computer with one user account. Very easy to use

Weaknesses: The Installation builds apps into Windows Explorer without permission.

Overall Evaluation: On the surface Glary Utilites apppears to be an impressive suite of utilities. The program installs quickly and easily. I tested all of the modules included in the program and found them extremely user friendly and efficient. I especially liked having the extensions built into the right-click menu. It is a supurb idea and made those functions especially convenient. However, I did not know that the program installed those functions in that fashion. I was not given access to any documentation with the install app which, to be honest, I may not have read anyway considering I got the file from PCWorld. To me, initially, this seemed to be a minor detail, however some people do get offended when a program installs things into something as important as Windows Explorer without at least a notification. Everything seemed to work supurbly on my personal account, however upon having need to do maintenence on one of the other user acounts on the same system I discovered that any time I tried to access the right click menu the system would overload, and the only thing that could be done was to log off the acount using task manager. I decided it was a software conflict and started uninstalling apps. Unfortunately, as soon as I uninstalled Glary utilities and rebooted the problem disappeared. In essence, this app includes some great ideas that appear to work great in some circumstances. However the presence of a bug of some sort really bummed me out. I was fairly excited about this app, with it's large collection of utilities in one package. I know that it's free, but I feel that this bug makes using the app very undesirable. I hope the author will fix it as soon as possible.

Strengths: Glary dumped TONS of garbage (?). It appeared to really clean out my system (Windows XP)

Weaknesses: It seems to have dumped more than it should have.

Overall Evaluation: VERY comfortable with my system, but FAR from a computer-tech guru, I can say that I'm really not sure what happened. In the days following my "clean-up", starting my computer began with one of those "blue screens" that appeared to be ticking down and dumping "physical memory". The message referred to possible solutions of checking my drivers, possibly contacting the manufacturers to update them, adding memory cache, and some other things I didn't understand. The first time this happened I simply restarted my machine and it worked fine. But I kept getting this "blue screen" at each subsequent startup. I finally accessed "system restore" and restored my computer to a point prior to the Glary "cleanup". I don't think I'll mess with it again.
