Strengths: Lists a lot of programs
Weaknesses: Unfortunately, most of them aren't installed on my computer. Some of the ones that are don't show the version or said failed to connect.
Overall Evaluation: Didn't like it. Showed all the programs it has in its database, not just what I've got installed.

Strengths: ??? cant make any judgements since i've installed/reinstalled 3 times and the prog wont launch

Strengths: WinXPSP2, up-to date as of 080505. (Downloaded AppSnap v1.3.2 on 5/5/08; AppSnapp informed me v 1.3.3 is current version) Seems to work, sort of.
Weaknesses: Seems to work in obtrusive & unasked for ways. "Upgrade Selected Applications" automagically selects ALL the applications on their supplied list & starts downloading ALL progams in the list, completely ignoring the user's checked off apps. Acts like download-pushing malware; I don't think this is intentional as I was able to stop it easily. Needs work; not ready for public comsumption as-is.

Overall Evaluation: Did not even run after I installed it. I did read user ratings 1st but those were written months ago. So when Steve listed this as an app to try out, I ass u med that Steve was aware of what others had rated the program. Apparrently he does not read or pay attention to the user ratings. Or else he would not list the program in today's (2/26/08) article.

Weaknesses: Not sure how comprehensive the database held by Appsnap is!
Overall Evaluation: Well, I did manage to install it!In looking for the applications to update, I was surprised that it found that it needed to update itself form version 1.3.2 (the version down,oaded here) to 1.3.4 I downloaded and updated but it still showed 1.3.2 in the title bar. There ought to be more choices of filters - I am not a games player and do not need to see games in the list - in my view this 'cheapens' the product - ok, I know that it is FREE - but...

Overall Evaluation: I was able to install the product and even have it run, but sadly it would not download the only thing it found on my system in need of an upgrade. Steve usually does a great job on these things, but this time I would say this is one best left off the list

Overall Evaluation: Peogram is useless. Installed it twice and all it does is cause the screen to blink once. Can't get it to run except trrough the command line, and then it doesn't work.
