  Strengths: None. Downloaded this onto my laptop running XP Professional. Just wouldn't work.

  Weaknesses: Tried several files and processes - even Virustotal Uploader's own executable - each time the program just froze.

  Overall Evaluation: Garbage.

  Strengths: Seems Very fast at scanning..which comes as a surprise, given most onlines scanners seem to take a while to carry out a scan..and that's just at one site!

  Weaknesses: The user interface could be a little more "interesting"..as the look of the program comes across very basic and simplistic..which doesn't do the program justice.

  Overall Evaluation: I downloaded this program and installed, then scanned 6 files and 4 system processes. The results for the processes and one file were instantaneous, apearing in my browser the second the site page loaded. The other 5 files took on average about 30 seconds to a minute each to scan and load the results. In total I got 3 results showing an infection..one of which was a false positive. My overall impression of this program, unlike others who have posted here, is that this is one little gem of a program..as it seems to work just fine for me on my XP Pro SP3 Home based laptop..and a tool well worth adding to anyone's PC security toolbox..as you can never have enough of such tools these days! One thing that does make me wonder about this is it's lightening-fast scanning speed! The mind boggles at just how they can offer such a free service with such a high scan speed..over 40 scans at one time..while most other online scanners take the same time to scan just one file on their individual sites! In short, I think this is a great little program..and have dropped only one star due to the user interface. Other than that...I am really pleased with this program.

  Strengths: Easy, quick virus scan

  Weaknesses: Getting to the uploader is a little tricky. Right click the file: send to: virustotal. Pretty simple actually. and works like a charm

  Strengths: It makes it much faster scanning with virus total, you don't have to go through your web browser.

  Weaknesses: The icon is not listed in the main menu when you right click. You have to click on "Send To" submenu to find the virus total icon

  Overall Evaluation: Works good over all, i am running Windows Vista and it works fine with it.
