    Duration of ownership: 2 Years

Strengths: Lots of features yet easy to use, great support from developer.

Weaknesses: No built in support to upload to an image sharing website

Overall Evaluation: Great program compared to others, the nag goes away forever with a donation of any amount, but the nag isn't hard to deal with. I would gladly recommend this product over expensive commercial products. Seriously other developers want $50 for a screen shot program (Snagit) its a wonder anyone would actually think of getting programs like snagit with this one around.

Strengths: Lots of features from within the software, and it is updated on a regular basis and is constantly getting more and more fun things added to its feature-set. The support system is hugely powerful. Being able to login to the forum, ask your question, and receive an answer very quickly, especially when you don't even have to pay for the privilage, is an amazing thing in itself.

Weaknesses: It is my personal opinion, that the Preferences (Setup) menu, should be made a little easier to navigate, as even for experienced users, and people who are used to the software, things can be a little difficult to find. I also think the software should include a few features such as "Facebook" and "Flickr" uploading. This is a must-have in this day and age.

Overall Evaluation: Awesome sofwtare, highly reccomended. Not sure why people are complaining about being asked to register on DonationCoder to use this, as its NOT a requirement and it only asks you on first run, then once again 6 months later...purely to show your support for the software. Donating is also NOT a requirement.

Strengths: This program is a remarkably sophisticated and customizable utility for taking screenshots, editing and saving the image file. There are many features that most users will never need to use. For a *patient* user who takes the time to learn his/her way around the interfaces, SC is a very powerful utility.

Weaknesses: Most features are non-intuitive, for more casual computer users. But non-intuitive to the point of being downright confusing. The program does ask (relatively nicely) for a donation when you start it, with a notification that goes away with a single click.

Overall Evaluation: Minus one star for difficulty curve. Powerful program. Steep learning curve. I recommended it for experienced users.

    Strengths: don't know

    Weaknesses: don't know

Overall Evaluation: This isn't a review of Screenshot Captor but an evaluation of the DonationCoder programs in general. They are a pain. They claim to be free but end up nagging you with registration and donation messages periodically. And my experience was that you had to revisit the DonationCoder site every 6 months to get a new license. I eventually deleted all my DonationCoder stuff and use utilities that are actually free.

    Strengths: Takes screen caps

Weaknesses: MS Paint is easier and doesn't pester you to register or donate

Overall Evaluation: Installed, uninstalled within ten minutes. The whole registration thing is just a nuisance. It's nowhere near as good as Snagit.
