  Duration of ownership: 2 Years

  Strengths: Easy use

  Weaknesses: Crashed for me and I lost everything similar to xi soft's net transport. It crashed which is why I moved to flashget. Now I use Orbit and I like it better.

  Overall Evaluation: I recommend orbit downloader seems more stable.

  Duration of ownership: 5 Years

  Strengths: The best manager of downloads I've seen.

  Weaknesses: PC World & other computer mags & writers have indicated that newer versions either have a virus or have other compromising flaws. I've NOT upgraded to a newer version for over 2 years for this reason.

  Overall Evaluation: The older versions perform flawlessly. Newer versions, I avoid.

  Duration of ownership: 12 Months

  Strengths: Good download bitorrent manager for Firefox.

  Weaknesses: I tried the older version a few months ago, and my antivirus program warned of a virus. There are many online forums (including the programmer's) that state this program download does have a virus. I visited the site to research if they've fixed the problem in the new version, and the 'bugs' category in their forum is infested with spam.

  Overall Evaluation: Use utorrent for bitorrent downloads.
