Weaknesses: haven't found any
Overall Evaluation: I love this version I have been waiting a long time for Nero to release a windows vista compatible version and it's finally here, price is reasonable, you will love it I promise.

Strengths: Audio and video playback is first-rate; video editing quite good, esp. as a DVD burner and track-adder; has never crashed; originally on Win Me, then XP sp2, then Vista Home Premium: ALL worked smoothly.
Weaknesses: So huge that help documents are a separate file/hyperlink. Still won't handle .mov files.
Overall Evaluation: Extremely pleased. I had Nero 6 as an OEM, bought the full Nero 6, then updated to Nero 7 on its release. For all the permutations both this software and my OS have gone through, Nero 7's stability can't be bettered.

Strengths: I didn't find any.
Weaknesses: Nero Vision sucks.
Overall Evaluation: I have been using Nero for years and never thought I would see the day that I said, "This product sucks!" but today I am saying it. My advice to anyone is don't buy Nero 7.7.5.1. I use Nero mostly for Nero Vision. In 7.7.5.1 (the new Vista release) Nero Vision does not work. It will run for minutes - sometimes as much as thirty - and then just shut down with no error message and no results. You have been warned. I signed up on this site just so I could review this product.

Strengths: Unknown. Had such a problem with Nero Vision module that I did not even try to use the others as I had to remove program to instll version 6 so I could complete my project.
Weaknesses: Nero Vision is completely unusable. Memory management of program is abominable.
Overall Evaluation: Nero Vision is virtually unusable. It will lock up or slow to a standstill, making it impossible to edit and create videos. Neither updating or reinstalling solves the problem which appears to be an extreme memory usage error by the program. I can use the same MPEG, WMA files to edit and create videos in Nero 6 on the same system with no problems. I am sorry I upgraded as Nero Vision was my main use of the program, so version 7 is useless to me. I had upgraded from an OEM version. Nero could offer no solution to the problem, and would not even trade my version 7 for the full edition of version 6 so that I would have the other modules not available in the OEM version to at least give me some value for the money I paid for the upgrade. I have checked other sites on the internet with user complaints of the same problem I was having and many other problems with the other modules. Nero has never fixed this problem and apparently from complaints I have seen, not responded to other either. Because of their poor support and lack of concern for program problems, I would recommend not buying any product from this company.
