Keep Tabs on System Changes With FileWatch

If you're like me, you don't trust most installers. Are they putting files where I want them or leaving junk lying around where it's hard to clean up? Maybe you're more concerned about what other users are doing to your computer. Either way, the $30 FileWatch 5 program from Kevin Gearhart can give you a complete report of changes to your PC in seconds. Start by creating a "catalog" of all disks and folders you want to track (including, but not limited to, removable media). Then when you want a report on what items have been added, removed, or modified, just open the catalog you want to use as the basis for comparison. FileWatch also tracks changes to Registry entries and files. Go to kevin.gearhart.com to download a 30-day trial version.
