Windows 2000 Update Locks Out Logitech
Last month I wrote about the release of Service Pack 2 for Windows 2000. Even though the service pack is supposed to fix roughly 500 problems, it's created a new one for users of Logitech mice.
After installing SP2, Logitech users can run into all kinds of trouble, including the dreaded "blue screen of death." Logitech reports that the service pack and its MouseWare driver are in conflict.
Logitech spokesperson Nathan Papadopulos advises Logitech-mouse customers to download the latest driver update, MouseWare version 9.29--before installing SP2, if possible.
