Trellix Web Tools Get to Work
Site authoring suite adds online promotion and marketing services in its latest version, designed for small businesses.

A "significant" expansion of the Trellix Web-site publishing suite of software tools and services, including online promotion and marketing, will be announced Tuesday at the Web Services Edge portion of the TechXNY trade show in New York.
Version 4.5 of the suite, aimed at mainstream small businesses, will be available through Trellix partners Interland, based in Atlanta, and Thomas Publishing in New York. Trellix, which is located in Concord, Massachusetts, has an existing partnership with Interland, but Thomas Publishing is a new customer, says Matthew Malloy, Trellix director of marketing.
Online promotion and marketing tools are a key addition to the suite, he says. The enhanced offering includes:
- Web site building tools and services, including Trellix Web Express, which is a browser-based site builder designed for beginner and intermediate users. Web Express provides content and designs that can be edited and customized and also includes an HTML editor, file manager, offline photo management, and blogging tools.
- Integrated site promotion and marketing services, including search engine submittal, e-mail campaign creation and management, online appointment scheduling, and forms creation.
- Site hosting technology, including abuse prevention tools, private-label domain name sales, and domain-based Web and POP e-mail. Trellix partners can choose to have Trellix host applications and Web sites.
- Customization and integration technologies that allow private-label Trellix partners to create and maintain software, branding, and services for their customers.
Version 4.5 will be available Tuesday to Trellix partners, including Interland and Thomas Publishing, which will incorporate it into their offerings and make it available soon to their customers. The price varies based on what the customer needs, Malloy said.
