Netgear WNXR2000

PCWorld Rating

3.0
3.0 / 5 - PCWorld, Oct 3, 2011

Pros

  • Hybrid powerline support frees up an outlet.
  • Less expensive than router, AV adapter separately.

Cons

  • Poor documentation on setting up HomePlug AV.
  • No 5ghz Wi-Fi or gigabit ethernet.

Bottom Line

The Netgear WNXR2000 is basically a midrange Wi-Fi router bundled with a HomePlug AV brick and a special cable--not the most elegant way to integrate the two network technologies.
