Streamripper is an open source (GPL) application that lets you record streaming MP3 directly to your hard drive. It allows you to "record" an Internet radio station music broadcast and separate tracks for later playlisting. A plug-in to the standard WinAmp player, Streamripper separates broadcast tracks via Shoutcast's title-streaming feature. The program figures out where one track starts and another ends, allowing a MP3 decoding engine to scan for the silent mark used to find an exact track separation. |
