| Description |
Most computers aren't using all their computing power at a given time. Even when you're engaged in a game, creating graphics, or surfing the Web, you can join your unused processing power with that of other computers to form a supercomputer that solves global computation-intensive problems, such as finding a cure for cancer. UD Agent runs quietly in the background, using the spare power that your computer isn't using. Bit-by-bit, it performs a few of the millions of calculations required to analyze a molecule, run through an algorithm, or measure a tiny temperature change. The Agent sends data back to United Devices' servers to compile the various bits of data processed by the individual members. No personal information is taken from your computer, but you can register your UD Agent to get credit for the work your computer is doing. |
