JavaPK is written in J2ME (JDK v5.0). JavaPK is the first (let us know if we are wrong about this) clinical pharmacokinetic program in the world, which is designed and implemented for cellular phones using both Sawchuk-Zaske method (aminoglycosides) and Bayesian estimation method (aminoglycosides - gentamicin & amikacin, vancomycin, digoxin, phenytoin, and cyclosporin-A). With Bayesian estimation, one can use any single-blood sample (at steady-state) to estimate individual pharmacokinetic parameters. |
