a clinical pharmacokinetic (or therapeutic drug monitoring, TDM) tool for mobile devices including PalmOS-based PDA, Java-supported cellular Phones (SymbianOS or Smartphones) and Pocket PC (WM2003/WM5/WM6). mobilePK is written in Java ME (JDK v6). mobilePK is the first clinical pharmacokinetic program in the world, which is designed and implemented for cellular phones using both Sawchuk-Zaske method (aminoglycosides & vancomycin) and Bayesian estimation method (aminoglycosides - gentamicin, tobramycin & amikacin, vancomycin, digoxin, phenytoin, cyclosporin-A and warfarin). With Bayesian estimation, one can use any single-blood sample (at steady-state) to estimate individual pharmacokinetic parameters. |
