At A Glance

The Gateway DX4870-UB2C is an old-school midtower desktop that delivers respectable productivity performance and lots of storage for an appealing price.

While it is expensive, Origin's Genesis Z87 delivers performance close to some of the most over-the-top boutique gaming rigs we've seen lately.

Lenovo's C540 Touch isn't the sexiest all-in-one we've seen, but it is an exceptional value at just $719 (as of 8/30/13)
