The Avid Media Composer Upgrade to Symphony 6.5 gives you a full version of Avid Symphony 6.5 upon your submitting your Media Composer serial number. Your purchase provides you with a package containing instructions for submitting your serial number and for downloading Symphony. You can upgrade from any version of Media Composer, but its license must be already registered; and you can download Symphony in either the Mac or Windows version. Along with Symphony, you get all the programs that accompany it: Boris Continuum Complete, which has over 200 top-grade effects filters; Avid FX, for creating and animating titles, effects, and transitions; Sorenson Squeeze, for optimizing and delivering content; FilmScribe, for exporting film metadata; EDL Manager, for exporting timecode metadata; Log Exchange, for converting shot logs into ALE files; MediaLog, for management of logging and metadata; and -- for Windows users only though -- Avid DVD, a disc authoring program.
