The Intel Xeon with EM64T Processor enables dual processing on HP Workstations. It features Intel's new Extended Memory 64-bit Technology as well as a modified microarchitecture. Processors with 64-bit extension technology fully support existing IA-32 features and existing IA-32 software while enabling the ability to access 64-bit linear addressing for 64-bit applications when running a 64-bit capable operating system.
