Driver files are often obtainable via the web sites of their manufacturers, many of which are linked at our Hardware Support Links Section. Note for operation on Laptops and Notebook computers: We did not test World War II: Panzer Claws with laptops or notebook systems and therefore we do not guarantee compatibility. Due to the variety of hardware configurations that ship with today's laptop systems, it would be impossible to configure a game that would work with all of them. Many laptop/notebook computers are limited in their ability to be used as a gaming machine. This is because of memory configurations, their micro-channel architecture, port configurations (i.e. no place for a joystick) and sound systems that are primarily designed to be used with productivity software. The other common problem is that laptop systems will attempt to compress the traditional version of the standard 101-function keyboard (found on almost all desktop systems) into a much smaller keyboard configuration. This is usually done by relying on multifunction keys that allow the user to assign different functions to the same key. Unfortunately, this has been known to cause problems with our games. Note for operation using Windows 2000 and emulators: Windows 2000 is not a supported operating system for World War II: Panzer Claws: Note that if you are unable to play World War II: Panzer Claws under Windows 2000 after installation, our only suggestion is that you try updating the drivers for your Display and Sound cards to whatever are the current "Windows 2000/DirectX? 8.1" compatible versions. Check the web sites of the manufacturer of your Display and/or Sound card, to ensure that you have the current versions of those drivers installed. Beyond that we cannot not provide any additional support. Emulators: Running World War II: Panzer Claws under a Windows emulator of any type is not supported.
