| Frequency Band | The envelope feeder is inserted in Tray 1 after removing the envelope entrance cover inside the printer (Note: do not throw away the cover, replace when the envelope feeder isn't installed). Envelope construction is critical. Envelope fold lines can vary considerably, not only between manufacturers, but also within a box from the same manufacturer. Successful printing on envelopes depends upon the quality of the envelopes. Weight: The weight of the envelope paper should be 75 to 105 /m2 (20 to 28 lb), or jamming might result. Construction: Prior to printing, envelopes should lie flat with less than 6 mm (0.25 inch) curl, and should not contain air. (Envelopes that trap air might cause problems). Condition: Make sure that envelopes are not wrinkled, nicked, or otherwise damaged. Sizes in Tray 1: Standard and custom sizes from 76 x 127 mm (3 x 5 inches) to 216 x 356 mm (8.5 x 14 inches). Sizes in the optional envelope feeder: Standard sizes from Monarch (#7-3/4) (98 x 191 mm, or 3.9 x 7.5 inches) to B5 (ISO) (176 x 250 mm, or 6.9 x 9.8 inches).
