The Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus provides outstanding performance and headroom for your dual processor workstation and server needs. The increased system bus frequency supports greater memory, I/O and graphic bandwidths. Based on the Intel NetBurst microarchitecture, the Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus also includes 512 KB L2 cache and Hyper-Threading Technology.Hyper-Threading Technology improves processor performance for multi-threaded applications or multi-tasking environments by supporting multiple software threads on each processor system. Initially introduced for dual processor and multiprocessor servers, Hyper-Threading Technology is now available for DP workstations based on Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus and the Intel E7505 chipset. In addition to the Intel E7505 chipset for DP workstations is the new Intel E7501 chipset for DP servers. The Intel E7501 chipset supports 533 MHz system bus and DDR-266 memory support. The Intel Xeon processor with 533 MHz system bus is ideal for compute-intensive and heavy workload applications that require floating-point performance and intense use of graphics for design.
