This Xeon processor is an xSeries 3.0GHz, 800MHz, 2MB L2 Cache upgrade with EM64T and DDR2 memory support. The 800MHz front-side bus speed increases system throughput by as much as 50% compared to legacy products, the 2MB L2 cache support provides the scalability to meet the changing needs of e-Business applications, Intel's EM64T software readiness delivers greater application flexibility, with support for increased 64-bit memory addressability and DDR2 memory supports large memory sizes to enhance server overall performance, particularly in memory intensive applications for the x336 server with the new 2GB Single Rank memory option.
