The Sony HXR-FMU128 Flash Memory Unit is an optional recording device designed specifically for the HXR-NX5U camcorder. The unit enables the ability to record to two devices simultaneously, (drive and SD card) realizing an instant backup in the desired format. Additionally, the device is capable of recording exceptionally long run-times, in FW mode, the HXR-FMU128 can record an incredible 11 hours of footage without offloading.
