Noctua s beastly new NH-D14 has already won several awards (including TheBestCaseScenario.com s coveted Editor s Choice Award) and for good reason! The NH-D14 outperforms virtually every other air cooler on the market even besting Corsair s H50 water cooling system at idle! This enormous nickel-plated copper cooler features two pre-installed fans to whisk heat away from the aluminum fins and Noctua even includes mounting screws and rubber fan mounts in case you d like to use them as case fans instead! They also include the requisite Low Noise and Ultra-Low Noise adapters to scale down the RPMs for even quieter operation. Since silence is a major goal in all of Noctua s products it s not surprising to learn that there are strips of silicone embedded in the cooler fins to minimize vibration from the pre-installed fans. They also cram a tube of NT-H1 thermal compound and an installation tool into the box so you ll have everything you need to install this bad boy as soon as you open it. The NH-D14 is compatible with all modern CPU sockets including LGA 1366 and 1156 on the Intel front and AM3 on AMD s side and includes separate instruction booklets for each brand.
