IOGEAR's GKBSR201 104-Key Keyboard with Integrated Smart Card Reader is a secure terminal for computer users in government agencies, federal contractors, hospitals, education, banking or even at home. A Smart Card is the shape of a credit card, however it is embedded with a chip that can process data, and permit access to delegated computer systems. Smart Cards are often programmed with a PIN number to ensure security for both the card holder and the system they want to access. GKBSR201's card reader uses a contact system which is less prone to misaligning your card when it is inserted, eliminating the possibility of it being misread. Smart Cards are the next generation of secure and user friendly identification, authentication, and data storage solutions. The IOGEAR GKBSR201 is an efficient and accurate Smart Card reader solution.
