Good: 75RIM BlackBerry 8700c Review
- BlackBerry devices have their roots in e-mail--and it shows. The BlackBerry 8700c, a hybrid PDA/cell phone, is a stellar e-mail device that offers the push e-mail capability that BlackBerry devices are known for. And while it may be more parts PDA, the device performs capably as a cell phone, too.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Light, bright display
Weaknesses: Where do I start...
Overall Evaluation: I bought my first in December. It kept rebooting itself everytime I put it in the holster. The second one sounds like everyone I talk with on the phone has marbles in their mouths. FedEx is suppose to be bring me a third one. I don't have much hope it will be better.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Excellent phone including speaker-phone, web browsing and email is great, PDA functions great. Bluetooth.
Weaknesses: No voice recognition, no external antenna port.
Overall Evaluation: I'm new to the Blackberry world, but I'm really happy that I can use this device to make phone calls as well as surf the web and receive/send emails. It works very well. RIM makes a great product.I would rate the Blackberry 8700 hardware as excellent all the way around, Cingular has been fair to good, but most Cellular providers are about the same in my experience. The online forum blackberryforums.com has been very helpful getting me up to speed, and I highly recommend it for people who have an 8700 or even those who are just considering an 8700.I've paired this with a Parrot CK3100 hands-free car kit for my driving pleasure and it's been wonderful!
