Lenovo 3000 C100 Review

- Making good on its promise to release new notebook and desktop PC models under its own brand, Lenovo now offers the 3000 C100. This low-cost laptop offers a nice assortment of features and solid performance for a great price, but it's no ThinkPad.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: sturdy, good performance, good customer support

Weaknesses: aesthetics may be too plain for some

Overall Evaluation: I've been using this laptop for more than a year. Being a student - mostly for programming, assignments, music and plenty of movies. I have been using the laptop quite extensively. leave it up running for a couple of days when I test a web server assignment. My display blacked out during the last week of my warranty but customer service replaced the part in three days. service was prompt, efficient & easy to contact.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Battery Life. Keyboard. Xp pro

    Weaknesses: medicore LCD, 512MB RAM

Overall Evaluation: The battery life is really good and the keyboard is like Thinkpad, which feels really nice. XP pro is a much more efficient system than Vista. For a price like $400, it is a steal. My only compain is that LCD looks a little washed out. As for the ram, you might want to add another 512MB to make a total 1GB. Fortunately, nowadays the ram is dirty cheap . So it is not a big deal.
