Strengths: the cost of ink is cheaper than some other printers' inks, its extremely fast, good quality sometimes
Weaknesses: sometimes it prints a bunch of lines on photographs, it performs device maintenance at the worst times in the middle of printing several photos, and the ink runs out fast when you print photographs
Overall Evaluation: I like the quality that it prints some of the time, but I wish that it would print perfectly all the time. I am extremely pleased with the speed though. As for the money, I think it is a good printer to get, especially if you can find it on sale. Overall, I would recommend this printer to beginner and amateur photographers or anyone else who likes to take pictures.

Overall Evaluation: How does PC World rate a photo printer "very good" when it says in the review it prints bad pictures. hmmmm

Strengths: The print quality is great.
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: I don't agree with your last review. I read earlier reviews when this printer first came out, they were all good. I purchased this HP 8250 printer and a Sony DSC-T9 camera from Circuit City. I paid $119.99 for the printer and $354.00 for the camera. With a $100.00 rebate on the package, well? Now for the print quality. Pictures from the Sony carmera came out excellant. The 4x6 printer tray works great. I used the supplied HP software that came with the printer.

Strengths: Uses individual ink cartridges.
Weaknesses: Has MAJOR feed problems.
Overall Evaluation: This is the worst printer I've owned. Even the bottom feeder printer I got for free with one of my past computer purchases beat this piece of garbage. It has major paper feed problems. Constantly says it's out of paper even though there is plenty of paper in the paper tray. Oh, and just try to get tech support from HP. Time to take my punishment, put this thing in a land fill, and buy something else. Oh well, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Strengths: Fast photo printer
Weaknesses: Poorly engineered, made to break within 5-6 months.
Overall Evaluation: All I get when printing is "Out of Paper" errors. After only 50-60 sheets, the printer started misfeeding. I take very good care of all my equipment, and gently load the paper tray. I checked online, and apparently many many people who own this printer have the same problem. I called HP, and they wanted to charge for the support. I finally spoke with someone decent through HP's chatline, and they suggested purchasing a $30.00 cleaning kit. I will not put more money into this poorly designed garbage. The cleaning kit probably will make it work 1-2 more times. Highly recommended throwing the printer out.

Strengths: Fast prints, excellent color reproduction, quiet operation.
Weaknesses: Expensive inks, useless product manual, only 90-day mfg warranty.
Overall Evaluation: This printer was given to us as a gift, and was great while it lasted, which was a little less than a year. We woke up one day to find that the computer could no longer recognize the printer, and the printer display itself gave a cryptic "Err2" message. Nothing in the manual addressed this problem, and when I called for service, I was prompted to enter my credit card number to the tune of $2 per minute. Given how expensive the inks are today, it's probably more cost-effective to simply buy a new printer when you run out of ink than to replace the cartridges.Good luck!

Strengths: Individual Ink TanksGood QualityFast Printing Speed
Weaknesses: None
Overall Evaluation: I have been using this photo printer for a little over 2 month now and I am completely satisfied. The quality of the photos printed from it is great. Printing is very fast compared to other photo printers and having individual ink tanks allow for less expensive maintenance.

Strengths: Print quality, LCD, memory card capability, individual ink cartridges
Weaknesses: none
Overall Evaluation: The HP 8250 printer comes with everything you need. It has a LCD to preview before you print. it can handle every memory card format of your digital camera. It comes with 6 individual cartridges, that ensure ink use is optimal. With other single cartridge printers, you have to throw the whole cartridge away when one color runs out, which is a real waste. In addition, this printers seems to be sturdy, not flimsy. But best of all, its prints great and fast! Highly recommended.
HP Photosmart 8250 Review
- The silver-colored, $200 Photosmart 8250 marks a departure for HP printers. For one, cartridges for previous models contained up to three inks, whereas the 8250's six cartridges contain just one ink each. Also, the older cartridges incorporate a print head, but the 8250's cartridges don't have built-in nozzles because the printer has a permanent print head. In contrast, the $149 HP Photosmart 8050, which we also tested this month, uses multi-ink cartridges.
