Weaknesses: Ask a lot and scan slow , very slow

Overall Evaluation: I have use four anti virus programs like bitdefender,norton360,zonealarm but Kaspersky is the best , it's run at star up very fast , less space require for it , only 30 Mb or 20Mb . It's can find virus even when the computer read complete a DVD or CD , Spyware and trojan or backdoor when download or surf the net can be found and delete . This is a great product for anyone like surf the net or download a lot .

    Strengths: None

    Weaknesses: Almost everything

Overall Evaluation: A poorly designed piece of c**p that is not user friendly. Settings are hard to fine tune and popups are incredibly annoying. I have used different security programs over many years and this replaced Norton 360 first edition which I had issues with, but I dumped this from 3 pc's and after looking around I found one of the most user friendly and efficient program yet, System Suite 8 and I give this one a 5 out of 5.

    Strengths: Great Manual

    Weaknesses: None

Overall Evaluation: In my detailed review I forgot to mention: KIS includes a very good printed manual. The person here who hasn't figured out how configure KIS to allow some websites needs only to read the manual or excellent built-in help to discover how easy it is to do it. Given how poor most manuals are -- or how there aren't any -- many people forget to look at them. This one really helps.

    Strengths: Unable to determine.

Weaknesses: Poor user interface. Confusing. Uses resources. Hard to train. Requires advanced knowledge.

Overall Evaluation: Boy, did I blow it! This is one of the poorest choices in software I have made in a very long time. Whether or not this programs catches virus and spyware I have no idea. What I do know is that it is very cumbersome and very difficult to fine tune. I'm sure that it is a powerful and flexible system, but if you do now know exactly what you are doing, if you do not have an advanced knowledge in "ports" "protocols" and a lot of other jargon, you will be up the creek without a paddle. There is technical support if you can stand to wait 2 days to get a response from Russia! There is also a forum but it may only be useful if you know exactly what you are asking about. A general statement like, "it just doesn't seem to work," will get you nowhere. This program may be useful for network managers and IT professinals. The rest of you 100 milliion users should look elsewhere.

Strengths: Easy installation. Does not interfere with network. Quick updates. Doesn't slow down machine very much.

Weaknesses: Blocks web sites that should not be blocked.

Overall Evaluation: I am pleased with this Internet Security Suite. It has the controls and flexibility I need. They could work on improving the web site blocking as some seemingly harmless sites are blocked.

Strengths: Ease of Use, Less system resources, Frequent Updates, Excellent Price with promotions

Weaknesses: No phone support, Customize some default settings

Overall Evaluation: Comes in package with their best Anti Virus, Firewall and Spyware protection. Took very less resources on my laptop, and excellent performance on 64 bit Vista. The only issue that i had in the initial stages is to access some banking sites, and i contacted Tech Support through email and followed their suggestions and no issues from then onwards. I strongly recommand this product.

Strengths: Parental Control included. Daily updates available.

Weaknesses: Need to tweak many settings to be fully protected.

Overall Evaluation: This is a great all-in-one package, but you will definitely need to adjust some settings after installation if you want to take complete advantage of the software. The manual is pretty thorough, and most people won't have too much trouble setting it up. I did not find that IS 7.0 slowed my somewhat older machine down at all. It does the initial scan to clean out any installed malware, but then it was smooth sailing, running quietly in the background and constantly updating itself. I do have to see if I can further configure it as to when to block pop-up windows because there are a couple of sites where I want the pop-ups. Overall, I am pleased with this suite protecting my machine.

Weaknesses: Maybe a little use unfriendly, but far better than others

Overall Evaluation: I use it, recommend it and install it on all my clients computers. It saved me the other day when i could not clean a computer with a Trojan, installed Kaspersky and one scan cleaned it, after hours of trying other software. I recommend it.

Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 Review

- Kaspersky Lab's Internet Security 7.0 pairs a top-notch interface with solid performance in threat detection. At $80 for use on up to three PCs, it's among the most expensive suites we tested for our "All-in-One Security Suites: Tried and Tested." It was somewhat slow at performing security scans.
