    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Low price. Runs perfect for word processing, media playing, and internet.

    Weaknesses: The fan starts to be somewhat noisy 50 days after using. Need extra memory.

    Overall Evaluation: The price and functions can't be better for me as a student. I use it very frequently, and it runs stably. I've bought a PC card and 256mb memory for it, and it has been running perfectly. I would buy another one of A15-S127 if I need.

    Strengths: Low price. Nice design for a simple desktop replacement.

    Weaknesses: Celeron Processor is a getting out of date, but functional. A bit heavy for a traveler.

    Overall Evaluation: I bought this for my daughter who is going away to college. She will mostly do word processing for school, then misc. things for entertainment - no heavy gaming though. This will be an excellent laptop for her.

For just $1050 you get an 8X DVD-ROM and 24X/10X/24X CD-RW combination drive fixed on the right side of the case, a 15-inch screen, and big-sounding stereo speakers, whose volume you can control using the handy thumbwheel.
